All 16 confirmed COVID-19 cases in Vietnam have now recovered as the last patient tested negative today. With comprehensive preventive measures continuing to be carried out, the country did not record any new cases for the past 2 weeks.
The Vietnamese government has recently declared victory in the nation’s first battle against the deadly virus as the last infected patient in the country tested negative for COVID-19. This means all 16 confirmed cases of Vietnam are now cured, resulting in a 100% recovery rate, and no deaths since the start of the outbreak. On top of that, Vietnam did not record any new cases of COVID-19 in the past 13 days, while continuing to monitor and quarantine suspected individuals.
This was a result of restless governmental efforts to fence off the infection since very early stages. The country has taken actions beyond those recommended by the World Health Organization to ensure the best possible control over the situation nationwide. Praised by global health leaders for effective countermeasures, Vietnam has proven successful in the treatment of COVID-19 patients, and remains well-prepared for any future scenarios.
The National Administration of Tourism (VNAT) also declared that Vietnam remained a safe travel destination. Visitors can travel at ease as the majority of destinations in Vietnam are welcoming tourists as usual. However as safety precautions, travellers are advised to maintain social distancing, use face masks and alcohol-based sanitizers which are available in most attractions and accommodations.
With the good news coming from Vietnam, most of BAMBOO HAT TOURS’s destinations are now officially free of COVID-19 and we are more than confident to welcome travellers to Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia. With travellers’ safety as the first priority in mind, BAMBOO HAT TOURS established clear action guidelines for our teams during this time to ensure a highest level of pleasure and safety for all of our guests as per usual.
