Mekong Delta is known as The Nine Dragon river delta since it is formed by nine rivers. The background of this area is the largest site of endless paddy rice fields, coconut farms, tropical fruit gardens. It is very easy for you to catch sight of children riding on the back of the water buffaloes and farmers working on the fields, trading on the floating markets. The rural communities are just the thing for all tourists who want to get rid of the hustle and bustle of the city and enjoy yourselves with many beautiful landscapes such as floating markets, Unicorn island, Vinh Sang farm, An Binh island, bee farm, craft village, traditional working village… and many attractive folk games.
Phu Quoc Island: The island is of the best destinations in Vietnam for escaping the bustling city life as it’s home to a UNESCO-listed national park, luxurious resorts, traditional villages, and quaint cafes along the southern coastline.
Thanks to its coastal setting, Phu Quoc Island also offers fresh seafood, tropical fruits, and Vietnamese dishes at affordable prices.
Meet at Tan Son Nhat Airport upon arrival, you will be met and greeted by our tour guide and transfer to hotel in city central for check in your hotel. The rest of the day is at leisure.
After breafast, pick up at hotel and drive 55 km out of Ho Chi Minh City to Cu Chi District famous for the amazing complex of underground tunnels. There are more than 200 km of tunnels, comprising a main axis system with many branches connecting to underground hideouts, shelters and other tunnels. 12.00: Enjoy your lunch at restaurant.
Afternoon: We will visit Saigon Notre Dame Cathedral (under reconstruction until 2020) and the colonial-era Central Post Office. Then learn about the Vietnam War and its consequences as you tour the War Remnants Museum and Independence Palace. Exhibits include photographs, machinery, and weapons that depict the harsh realities of war)
7:30 – 08:00AM-Pick you up at your hotel
An unforgettable way of seeing the Mekong Delta is driving along the provincial roads down on the Southern region of Vietnam through paddy rice field, pine-apple plantation, orchard and small hamlets (2 hours’ drive).
Upon arrival start with a short relaxing boat ride on the vast Tien River, passing by some local fish farms on the water and observe this important waterway - the life-blood of the Mekong Delta. Stop by a local cacao farmer’s house to see planting, harvesting, fermenting and drying processes before the cacao beans are sold. Enjoy the fresh air and immerse yourself in the tranquility in this part of countryside in Mekong Delta, still untouched by tourism. Continue your visit through lush coconut plantations and fruit orchards on the small shady tracks, stopping by a local pagoda for a short break to enjoy some refreshments.
3.00 PM :depart and transfer by road back to Ho Chi Minh City
This section of Phu Quoc Island tours and activities is ideal if you’re looking to explore this tropical destination and its surrounding islets. There are plenty of things to do on Phu Quoc Island besides lounging on the beach with a drink in hand. Nature lovers can explore breathtaking waterfalls and quaint villages within the island. Travelling families can enjoy a fun-filled day at the iconic Vinpearl Land Amusement Park, which is fitted with thrilling slides and splash pools, as well as an aquarium housing 300 marine species.
Transfer to the airport in Ho Chi Minh City for flight to Phu Quoc Island. On arrival, guide and driver pick up and transfer to hotel/ resort. Rest of the day is free time.
There are plenty of activities for adventure seekers like kayaking on the bay, diving and snorkeling, island hopping, watching wildlife at Vinpearl Safari Phu Quoc, having fun at the water park, exploring Dinh Cau night market, experiencing a pepper farm, visiting a fish sauce factory and learning how the pungent tangy sauce is made, renting a motor scooter and riding around the island or visiting fishing village and meeting friendly locals.
